Building Surveyor/Building Regulations Consultant - Commercial

A leading building certification and consultancy business is seeking a Building Surveyor / Building Certification Consultant to join its growing Brisbane team.This opportunity is open to both licensed and non-licensed Building Surveyors . Candidates with either residential or commercial building certification experience are encouraged to apply, provided they are looking to develop their career within a predominantly commercial environment

About the Role

Working alongside an experienced team of Building Surveyors and certification professionals, you'll be involved in the assessment, certification and compliance of a wide range of commercial developments across Queensland.
The role offers exposure to diverse projects and provides excellent opportunities for technical development and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

- Review building applications and documentation for compliance
- Provide advice on the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant legislation
- Assist with building approvals and certification processes
- Liaise with developers, architects, builders and consultants
- Conduct site inspections and compliance assessments where required
- Support the delivery of commercial building projects from approval through to completion

About You

- Experience in Building Surveying, Building Certification or a related field
- Residential or commercial certification experience considered
- Understanding of the NCC and building regulations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant qualifications in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Queensland registration/licensing is advantageous but not essential
