About the Role

There is an amazing opportunity to work within our Culturaland Community Hub team, leading, developing and evaluating venue systems. Thesesystems support the delivery of events, performances, exhibitions and programs,including booking and event management systems, point of sale and rosteringsystems.

The Venue Systems Officer, will work across the Cultural andCommunity Hub Team, within the Creativeand Engaged City Department.

The position will be responsible for:

- Managing the administration and configuration ofvenue systems, that support the delivery of events, performances, exhibitionsand programs, including booking and event management system, point of sale androstering systems.
- Engaging with key internal stakeholders tounderstand business requirements, provide training and day to day operationalsupport in system applications.
- Implementing continued business improvementactivities, including development of processes and procedures.

About You





The successful applicant will have a passion for workingwith the community and will need to address the Key Selection Criteriaincluding;

- A tertiary qualification, preferably in Venue orSystem management and / or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years ofsuccessful experience. Demonstrated experience in understanding community orcultural venues, their systems and processes.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skillswith the ability to motivate, develop, and support collaborative partnershipsand teams who work across multiple disciplines or venues.
- Strong system knowledge, including the operationof point of sale, booking or rostering systems, understanding of howintegrations work, including with finance systems.
- Desirable skills include a knowledge of Power BIand Power Automate.
- Exceptional analytical and investigative skills,with experience in formulating policies and procedures to ensure operationaleffectiveness and safety. The ability to apply sound professional judgment inresolving system issues.
- Thorough understanding of health and safetyregulations, risk management, and compliance with licensing and industrystandards.
- Experience in financial planning and budgeting,with a solid understanding of financial management principles and how theseinterlink with venue systems.
- Strong organisational skills, with the abilityto manage time effectively, set priorities, and coordinate the work of the teamto meet deadlines. Proven experience in planning and executing multipleprojects simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to driving continuousimprovement and change management strategies, ensuring technical operations andcustomer service standards are regularly evaluated and enhanced.
- Excellent communication and interpersonalskills, and a customer-focused approach with a commitment to deliveringhigh-quality service.
