Task & responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the daily operations of the Indian sweets and snacks retail store.
- Monitor stock levels of sweets, snacks, groceries, beverages, and other specialty products, ensuring timely replenishment and minimal wastage.
- Manage inventory with particular attention to products with limited shelf life and seasonal demand.
- Supervise, train, and motivate retail staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Ensure attractive merchandising and presentation of sweets, savouries, gift hampers, and festive displays.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase customer traffic and revenue.
- Coordinate with sweet manufacturers and suppliers to maintain consistent product quality and availability.
- Manage customer enquiries,



feedback, and complaints professionally to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety, and retail operating standards.
- Prepare and monitor store budgets while controlling operational costs to maximise profitability.
- Assist in planning and executing promotional campaigns, festive sales, community events, and cultural celebrations such as Diwali, Holi, Raksha Bandhan, Eid, and other seasonal festivals.

Qualification & experience Previous experience in retail or store management, preferably within a food, supermarket, grocery, sweets, or hospitality environment. Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage inventory, staff performance, and daily retail operations. Good understanding of customer service principles and retail sales strategies. Relevant qualification at Diploma level or higher in Retail Management, Business, Hospitality, or a related discipline.

Ability to communicate fluently in English . Proficiency in Hindi and/or Punjabi will be highly regarded due to the store's diverse customer base. Understanding of Indian sweets, snacks, grocery products, customer preferences, cultural traditions, and seasonal purchasing trends is highly desirable.
