The Workplace Relations Specialist will provide specialist industrial and employment relations advice while supporting key organisational projects and enterprise bargaining preparations.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing advice on wages, classifications and employment entitlements under the Fair Work Act 2009, National Employment Standards, modern awards, enterprise agreements and employment contracts.
Undertaking project work, including a comprehensive review of BPA's industrial instruments, employment contracts and workplace arrangements to ensure compliance and support future enterprise bargaining.
Preparing employee communications and supporting activities associated with enterprise bargaining, including communications and voting processes.
Supporting positive relationships with employee representatives and unions, including assisting with dispute resolution and consultation processes.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the People & Culture function.
Developing and reviewing workplace policies and procedures with an industrial relations focus.
Providing specialist advice and guidance to People & Culture Business Partners on complex employee and workplace relations matters.
This 6 month fixed-term role has been established to support BPA's upcoming enterprise bargaining activities while undertaking a comprehensive review of the organisation's industrial framework in preparation for future changes.
About You
This prospect would suit an experienced Industrial Relations, Employment Relations or Workplace Relations Advisor or Specialist from a corporate organisation, trade union, employer association or industrial relations advisory environment.
You will bring:
Strong knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations legislation.
Experience interpreting modern awards and enterprise agreements.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Sound judgement and the ability to provide practical, risk-based advice.
A collaborative approach and the ability to work across multiple priorities.
Working Arrangements
BPA operates a hybrid working model. The role is based in Ravenhall, with employees expected to work from the office approximately 50% of the time.
