About the Role
As an Environmental Consultant, you'll manage and deliver a diverse range of environmental projects while building long-term relationships with clients across multiple industries.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking Preliminary and Detailed Site Investigations (PSI & DSI) and environmental impact assessments.
- Conducting asbestos and hazardous materials inspections and occupational hygiene monitoring.
- Air monitoring and asbestos clearance inspections.
- Coordinating sample intake.
- Preparing high-quality technical reports, Environmental Management Plans, approvals documentation and client correspondence.
- Carrying out site investigations, environmental monitoring and data collection.
- Interpreting environmental data and providing practical recommendations.
- Managing small to medium-sized projects from proposal through to completion.
- Working closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide practical, innovative solutions.
- Assisting with environmental planning, environmental management, compliance monitoring and reporting.
- Supporting business development and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Coaching and mentoring junior consultants as your experience develops.
- Ensuring all projects are delivered safely, sustainably and in accordance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
This role involves regular travel throughout the Sydney metropolitan area, with occasional regional and interstate travel.
About You:
You'll ideally have:
A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Hygiene or a related discipline.
At least two years' experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
Licensed Asbestos Assessor preferable, or willingness to obtain (training supported by EGA).
Previous experience within environmental consulting.
Strong report writing and technical communication skills.
Excellent organisational and project management skills.
A proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
A current unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence.
