Originally known as the Sydney Day Nursery Association, SDN’s first centre was opened in 1905. The Association was formed by a group of women from Sydney’s inner-Suburbs who recognised the dire need among working mothers, who found themselves the sole breadwinners for their family, for safe and reliable child care. Today we employ over 650 staff across sites in Sydney, Regional NSW and ACT.
About The Position:
Based at our Campsie Office, in this key leadership position, you will lead a team of experienced case workers within our Family Preservation Program.
The primary outcome of this program is to keep children and young people within their safe and reliable family by improving family functioning and reducing risk and safety concerns.
Responsibilities
- Supporting and guiding a team of case workers in their day-to-day work with families
- Monitoring service outcomes and implementing improvement strategies
- Maintaining best practice approaches
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
About You:
To be successful in this position you will have previous experience in a leadership position in the community services, child or family sectors.
This experience is supported by a strong commitment to child-focused practices with a thorough understanding of child protection, legislation and risk management.
You are empathetic, supportive and able to make sound judgements to protect children’s rights and well-being.
