Join Henkel Adhesives and play a pivotal leadership rolewithin the team. As our Maintenance Supervisor, you'll lead maintenanceoperations across our Kilsyth manufacturing site, ensuring our equipmentremains safe, reliable and operating at peak performance. Reporting to theEngineering and Maintenance Manager, you'll supervise a small maintenance team and external contractors while driving preventative maintenance, continuous improvement and operationalexcellence.
This hands-on leadership role is ideal for anexperienced maintenance professional who enjoys solving technical challenges,developing people and improving equipment reliability. You'll work closely withproduction teams, manage contractors and maintenance activities, and play a keyrole in keeping our site running safely and efficiently.
What you´ll do
- Lead, coach and develop the maintenance team, fostering astrong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.
- Employ Lean tools toidentify and implement improvements to improve overall equipment performance,reliability, reduce running costs and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Support the development and execution of preventative andpredictive maintenance strategies to maximise asset reliability, compliance andcost efficiency.
- Plan, schedule and oversee maintenance activities, ensuringwork orders, inspections and service reports are completed accurately and ontime.
- Manage maintenance resources, including equipment, spareparts and consumables, to support efficient day-to-day operations.
- Monitor maintenance performance and KPIs, identify risks andopportunities, and escalat issues where required.
- Coordinate equipment breakdown responses, lead fault findingand root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Manage contractor engagement and ensure all maintenance workis completed safely through effective permit-to-work processes and compliancewith site procedures.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Australianlegislation, Henkel standards and site safety requirements, including the safemanagement of hazardous materials.
What makes you a good fit
- Minimum 5 years' hands-on engineering or maintenanceexperience within a manufacturing or process industry setting.
- Relevant qualifications in Engineering (Cert IV, Diploma orDegree) or significant experience as a senior tradesperson or maintenancesupervisor.
- Previous experience leading and developing maintenanceteams, with a strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience with preventative maintenance, faultfinding, root cause analysis, Lean maintenance practices (TPM, 5S, Gemba) andmaintenance management systems (e.g. MEX).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with theability to collaborate across technical and operational teams and managecontractors effectively.
- Proficient in preparing engineering documentation, SOPs andrisk assessments, with sound computer skills across Microsoft Office andengineering systems.
