About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Grade 2 Podiatrist to join the Podiatry Department at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne on a fixed-term, part time basis. Based primarily at St George's Hospital in Kew, this role provides podiatry services across the Community Rehabilitation Centre, Falls & Balance Clinic, Berengarra Aged Care Facility and subacute inpatient services. The Falls & Balance Clinic operates on Wednesdays, while the remaining workdays offer flexibility. There may also be opportunities to work in acute services at St Vincent's Hospital Fitzroy as service needs arise. You will work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred podiatry care across a diverse patient population.
Grade 2 Classification (CM7–CM8): $90,235 – $103,724 per annum, pro rata for part time.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive podiatry assessment, treatment, evaluation and discharge planning
- Deliver evidence-based care to patients across outpatient, subacute and residential aged care settings
- Support safe and effective patient transitions across the continuum of care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
- Supervise and support undergraduate podiatry students
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement activities
About You
- Current registration as a Podiatrist with AHPRA
- A minimum of two years' experience in an acute and/or subacute hospital setting
- Demonstrated experience in high-risk foot management
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively within a multidisciplinary team
- A current Victorian Driver Licence
- A current National Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)

The Podiatry Department and High Risk Foot Service delivers comprehensive interdisciplinary podiatry care across acute, subacute, residential aged care and correctional health settings. Services operate Monday to Friday across multiple locations including St Vincent's Hospital Fitzroy, St George's Hospital Kew and a range of community-based sites, providing specialised care for patients with complex foot health needs.
