About the Role:
As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet and exceed the highest quality and food safety standards. Your main responsibilities will include conducting daily food safety and quality checks throughout the production process, from receival to dispatching, in line with our established procedures. You will be instrumental in maintaining the compliance of our quality management and food safety systems to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct test sampling and handle laboratory submissions.
- Assist production team with quality-related queries.
- Monitor and ensure daily Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Perform monthly GMP audits and update non-conformance registers.
- Investigate customer complaints and compile technical responses.
- Maintain document control and ensure availability of production forms.
- Monitor verification records and perform daily internal calibrations.
- Update and manage training records; conduct staff training and inductions.
- Perform quality checks on production lines and conduct monthly audits.
- Assist with site audits and follow up on non-conformances.
- Stop production if product safety or quality is at risk.
- Promote continuous improvement in quality assurance processes.
The ideal candidate for the role should have:
- A qualification in Food Technology or Science, or extensive experience in a high-care facility.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and continuous improvement methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to quickly adapt to internal systems and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility to work on the production floor and adapt to changing demands between 5am and 10pm Monday to Friday
