An exciting opportunity is available for a Welder/Fitter to join the FUWA K-Hitch team in its Derrimut,Victoria location.

FUWA K Hitch (Australia) a leading manufacturer in the heavy transport industry with three locations servicing Australia wide.

Working in a fast paced, highly productive setting you will be responsible for welding & assembly of Turntables/Axles/Suspensions assemblies to supply into the transport industry.

Ideal candidates will have had experience in the heavy-duty transport equipment industry or similar, however this is not essential.The position requires a self-motivated team player with the ability to work with minimum supervision.

This is a casual position working in our Derrimut facility.

Clean spacious work area with all bench & jig work.

Scope of work

- Welding as per specific instructions and drawings,
- Welding as per qualified trades skill,




- This role is a full-time 40-hour per week with overtime available as required
- Trade certification, 1st or 2nd class welding, or equivalent years of experience in quality welding
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

- Backgroundin Welding, Boiler making, vehicle body building or similar preferred
- Attention to detail and a high standard of work
- Experience in interpretingdrawings
- Knowledgeable in weld standards and procedures
- Finish welds to a very high standard.
- Desire to learn, take direction and follow process
- The ability to work well within a team environment
- Positive attitude toward safety, quality, and housekeeping
