About the Role
Reporting to the Construction Coordinator & Superintendent the core responsibilities include:
- Perform the duties of the Superintendent’s Representative as required under the general conditions of contract for a broad range of infrastructure projects.
- Ensure Shire and privately led works are delivered safely and in line with project objectives, relevant legislation, contractual requirements and permit conditions. Ensure projects achieve high-quality, cost effective and sustainable outcomes while protecting public safety and amenity,
with issues proactively resolved and continuous improvement driven across contractors, consultants and stakeholders.
- Monitoring the financial position of projects and ensuring fair value on contract variations for review and approval.
- Delivering efficient service in a manner which aligns the delivery of services with client and customer expectations through direct customer contact, effective contract management and contractor collaboration.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in civil construction, contract administration and construction supervision, with a preferred tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Strong working knowledge of current Australian Standards, the Shire’s Specification and industry best practice in civil construction.
- Sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 and associated regulations.
