Ditchfield Contracting Pty Ltd – Tuncurry NSW

Ditchfield Contracting is seeking a practical and self-motivated HSE Advisor to support our civil construction and mining operations across the Mid North Coast.

This is a permanent full-time position based at our Tuncurry office.

About the role

Working alongside our project teams, you’ll provide practical support across health, safety and environmental matters, including:

- Site inspections and audits
- Risk assessments and SWMS reviews
- Incident reporting and investigations
- Environmental and WHS compliance
- Toolbox talks and safety initiatives
- Return to work and injury management
- HSE records, reporting and system improvements

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to get involved, help our teams and find practical solutions.

This role based out of our Tuncurry office offers a high level of autonomy. You will need to be comfortable working independently, managing your own workload and taking initiative. You’ll also have support from Ditchfield’s experienced management and HSE team.

About you

Ideally, you will have relevant HSE qualifications and experience and be ready to step into the role. However,



qualifications are not essential. The right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn are more important, and we can provide training and professional development where required.

We’re looking for someone who is:

- Self-motivated, reliable and organised
- Comfortable working autonomously
- Approachable and able to build solid relationships
- A clear communicator with sound computer and reporting skills
- Practical, solutions-focused and willing to get involved

Experience in civil construction, mining or another high-risk industry would be highly regarded. Qualifications in WHS, First Aid, Training and Assessment, Return to Work, Drug and Alcohol Screening or incident investigation would also be beneficial but are not essential.
