Cooltrans is seeking an experienced Interstate MC Driver to join our professional road transport team. This is a casual position based in Dandenong South, VIC, offering approximately 2-3 trips per week. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods across interstate routes, maintaining our reputation for reliable and productive delivery services. This role is critical to our operations, ensuring timely and secure delivery of products to our customers whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

- Operating a MC (multi-combination) vehicle safely and efficiently across interstate routes
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance
- Maintaining accurate logbooks and delivery documentation in accordance with road transport regulations
- Adhering to all traffic laws, speed limits and fatigue management requirements
- Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues
- Securing and protecting cargo to prevent damage during transit
- Performing basic vehicle maintenance and reporting mechanical issues promptly
- Contributing to a safety-first culture and reporting near-misses or hazards
- Maintaining professional standards in customer interactions and vehicle presentation

What we're looking for

- Current and valid MC Driver's Licence with interstate experience
- Minimum 2-3 years' recent experience driving multi-combination vehicles on interstate routes




- A clean driving record with no major traffic violations
- Robust knowledge of fatigue management rules and heavy vehicle regulations
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work
- Flexibility to accommodate regular weekend work
