We are a busy Orthopaedic Specialist Practice committed to delivering exceptional patient care and outcomes. Working alongside an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon, we provide comprehensive care throughout the patient's journey, from initial consultation through to surgery, rehabilitation and recovery.

We pride ourselves on providing a supportive, skilled and collaborative workplace where our team members are valued and empowered to contribute to the ongoing success of the practice.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced healthcare professional to join our practice as a Clinical Manager/PracticeNurse in a permanent part-time capacity (3-4 days per week).

Working closely with the surgeon, you will play a key role in coordinating patient care, surgical planning and clinical operations, ensuring patients receive a seamless experience throughout their treatment journey.

The role combines patient care coordination, theatre and hospital liaison, clinical support and specialist practice operations.

The role will be based across multiple north-west locations with some early 7.30 am starts may be required on clinic days.

Key Responsibilities

- o Patient Care Coordination: Managing patients throughout their surgical journey, coordinating pre- and post-operative requirements, providing patient education, assisting with recovery planning, and responding to patient enquiries.
- o Surgical & Theatre Coordination: Coordinating theatre bookings and patient financial consent, hospital admissions, prosthetics and equipment requirements, liaising with hospitals, anaesthetists, assistant surgeons and allied health providers, and ensuring all pre-operative requirements are completed.

- o Clinical Support: Reviewing and managing clinical information, pathology and imaging results, supporting post-operative reviews, undertaking basic wound care and dressing changes where required, and escalating clinical concerns to the treating surgeon.
- o Practice Operations: Maintaining patient records and clinical documentation, managing patient quotations and financial consents, assisting with stock and clinical supply management, and supporting the effective day-to-day operation of the practice.
- o Professional Collaboration: Acting as a key liaison between patients, surgeons, hospitals and external healthcare providers, while contributing to workflow improvements and maintaining a high standard of patient care and service.

About You

We are looking for a professional, organised and patient-focused individual who enjoys building relationships and delivering exceptional service within a specialist healthcare environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience within a specialist medical, surgical, hospital or healthcare environment.
- A strong understanding of patient care pathways, surgical coordination and healthcare operations.
- Experience coordinating patient care, theatre bookings, hospital admissions or clinical workflows.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or another relevant health discipline will be highly regarded.
