My client is an integrated financial services practice offering expertise across wealth management, accounting & tax, SMSF and estate planning. They service a broad range of individuals, families, and business owners.

The firm has a 20 + year history in the market and continues to grow through strategic acquisitions. The business has multiple offices across NSW and a combined team of 50+ staff - 10 of which sit in their accunting and tax division.

They are now seeking a proactive Accountant/Client Manager to join their tax team. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of approx. $400k in annual fees - with clients across a wide variety of industries.

Your role will involve preparing compliance work, reviewing the work of offshore staff, and delivering high-quality advisory services. The ideal candidate will not only have a strong technical foundation but excellent client-facing and relationship building skills – being the key point of contact for their portfolio.

This role has come about due to a long-standing staff member transitioning into a new role within the business.

As a practice they use Xero/XPM as their main accounting software.



They currently use timesheets but are looking at moving to a fixed fee model in the future.

This role has the option to work out of the firms CBD or Norwest location with hybrid work arranagements on offer once settled into the team. This is an excellent chance to join a high-growth business with strong long-term progression opportunities.

Key duties will include:

- Managing a portfolio of clients from end-to-end
- Responding to client queries, liaising with the ATO/ASIC and other external service providers
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, BAS, IAS & FBT return
- Conducting tax planning and provide strategic tax advice
- Assisting select clients with budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, and preparing management reports

The ideal candidate will possess:

- A relevant tertiary degree and IPA/CA/CPA qualification
- 5 + years experience in public practice
- Strong communication skills and experience with direct client communication/relationship management
- Practical experience with Xero & MYOB software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independely and manage multiple competiting priorites
