Job Description

Situated along Sydney’s northern coastal corridor, this modern hospital offers an exceptional environment for healthcare professionals, featuring 488 beds and a comprehensive 63-bed mental health service. The facility operates a unique model catering to both public and private patients across four specialized units, including a private recovery-focused clinic, an acute adult psychiatric unit with a high dependency area, and a dedicated older persons’ unit. The hospital is currently seeking Mental Health Registered Nurses for permanent full-time and part-time positions.

This recruitment phase is active until March 30, 2026, offering a rare opportunity to join a growing teaching hospital known for its diverse and friendly culture. Compensation Details Successful applicants will receive a market-competitive salary of up to $54.89 per hour, with the final rate determined by years of relevant registered nursing experience.

Requirements and Role Expectations

- Professional Credentials: Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or equivalent)



and maintain current registration with AHPRA.
- Clinical Experience: A minimum of three years of specialized experience in mental health nursing is essential to meet the demands of these acute and sub-acute settings.

Leadership and Care

- The role involves providing evidence-based, person-centered care and trauma-informed interventions.
- Registered Nurses are expected to provide supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses, graduates, and students.
- Scheduling Flexibility: The position primarily operates on 12-hour shifts within a rotating roster, however 8-hour shifts may be available based on clinical needs.

Compliance

- Mandatory requirements include a current National Police Check (within 12 months), a NSW Working with Children’s Check, and verified proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases.
