Kaizen Steel Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Steel Estimator to join our team in our Dandenong South office. This full-time role will play a crucial part in our continued growth and success within the construction industry.

What you'll be doing

Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for structural steel projects, including materials, labour, and equipment

Reviewing blueprints, specifications, and other project documentation to identify all necessary materials and labour requirements

Collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project requirements and budgets

Providing cost-saving recommendations and alternative solutions to improve project profitability

Maintaining a comprehensive database of pricing, labour rates, and vendor information

Assisting in the preparation of tender submissions and proposals

Identifying and mitigating potential risks and challenges throughout the estimating process

What we're looking for

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Structural Steel Estimator, preferably within the construction industry

Thorough understanding of structural steel design, fabrication, and installation processes

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents





Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Proficient in the use of Cubit estimating software and MS Office applications

Knowledge of construction industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols
