QC Analyst - FMCG/Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

We’re looking for an experienced QC Analyst to deliver rigorous quality control that supports commercial outcomes and strengthens GMP excellence across the business.

About the role

Based in Scoresby, Victoria, this is a full-time role conducted on site 5 days a per week.

Reporting to the Senior Chemist, the role of Quality Control Analyst will have three key areas of accountability:

Test raw materials, packaging and finished goods within required timelines to meet internal stakeholder and customer requirements.

Conduct in-process checks and manufacturing line clearance to support compliance with statutory, internal quality and regulatory standards for existing and new products.

Perform and maintain stability trial studies in line with the Stability Testing Program.

In a typical month, you can expect to:

Test raw materials, packaging and finished goods against defined specifications while working to dynamic and tight timelines.

Initiate and drive Out of Specification (OOS) investigations.

Support production and manufacturing operations through line clearance, equipment inspections, in-process checks of key filling parameters and weighing equipment calibration.





Prepare and submit samples where required for testing to external contract testing laboratories.

Conduct stability trial studies as per the stability testing program.

Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and in good working condition.

Maintain general laboratory housekeeping, including inventory management for standards and reagents, waste disposal, and retention and stability sample management.

Prepare and maintain documentation, including trend cards, SOPs, controlled documentation, test methods and change controls.

About you

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

Tertiary qualifications in Science or Biomedical Science, preferably with a focus on Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.

Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting and demonstrated ability in the application of pharmaceutical cGMP requirements.

Proven knowledge and experience in using pharmaceutical compendial methods such as BP, EP, and USP.

Strong working knowledge of analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, IR Spectrophotometer and Polarimeter.

Strong attention to detail for maintaining records and test reports.

Demonstrated analytical test method development skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across the organisation.

A positive, can-do attitude with a solution-focused mindset.

Demonstrated ability to be adaptable and flexible in a fast-moving consumer goods environment.
