Friendship Square Early Learning Centre is looking for a caring, experienced, and engaging lead educator to join our team in the Pre-Kinder class at our Reggio Emilia inspired centre.

As lead educator you will oversee a class of 11 children per day, working Monday to Friday.

We are searching for an amazing educator with knowledge and experience in working with young children.

We offer:

Small class sizes/small team: 8 place nursery, 8 place toddler class, 11 place pre-kinder class with 2 educators, and up to 20 place mixed three and four year old Kinder class with 2 educators

A small class of 11 children (aged 2 to 4 years)

4 hours of planning and curriculum time each week

Reggio-inspired learning environments

The centre is closed for 2 weeks during the Christmas holidays

A fortnightly RDO

A community-oriented, not for profit centre focused on families, children, education, and respect for educators

Rotating 9hr shifts

Supportive and mentoring by your team of managers (Centre Director, Operations Manager and Committee President)

Position requirements:Successful candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

Completion of a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, or working towards.

Current employee working with children check

A passion for early childhood education, a collaborative mindset, and a positive attitude.

Strong communication skills and a person-centered approach.

At least 2 years in a lead educator/room leader position.

Key requirements:

An approved ACECQA qualification, or evidence of studying towards one

A demonstrated interest in children and their development

First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Training

Valid Working with Children Check

Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules
