We’re partnering with an established Australian technology company to appoint an Engineering Manager to lead the evolution of a business-critical Customer Experience Platform.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of 20 engineers through a major platform transformation, migrating from a legacy Java/MySQL environment to a modern Databricks-based architecture. You’ll combine people leadership with technical direction, ensuring successful delivery while driving engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing engineering team of 20-25 people.
- Drive the migration to a modern Databricks-based platform while supporting the existing application.
- Partner with Product, Data and Commercial teams to deliver strategic initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Foster a collaborative, delivery-focused engineering culture.

About You

To be successful, you’ll bring:

- Proven experience leading engineering teams within a product or SaaS environment.




- Strong application development experiencewith API, Spring and Java and modern distributed systems.
- Experience with Databricks and/or data engineering, with the ability to lead engineering teams working on modern data platforms.
- Experience delivering large-scale platform modernisation or transformation projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Product engineering experience within marketing technology (MarTech), customer engagement or customer experience platforms will be highly regarded.
