Junior IT Governance and Security Analyst

Blooms Management Services (BMS) provides support and partnership to over 130 successful Blooms The Chemist pharmacies. Our Pharmacists and team members have been delivering friendly expert advice and professional service to our communities for over 40 years.

Reporting to the Senior Systems Administrator, this role will support the governance, security and compliance activities that help keep our technology environment secure, well-managed and audit-ready. You will work closely with the Technology team and business stakeholders to coordinate compliance requirements, maintain documentation, support SharePoint governance and help track cyber security risks and remediation activities.

This role would suit an early-career IT, cyber security, technology risk or business information systems professional who is highly organised, curious and eager to grow their skills in a supportive team setting.

Main responsibilities include:

- Supporting IT compliance and governance programs across Technology and the broader business.
- Coordinating evidence collection and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Maintaining IT policies, standards, procedures, compliance registers and action trackers.
- Assisting with Essential Eight, privacy, security and governance initiatives.
- Administering SharePoint sites, including permissions, document libraries, lists, pages and knowledge repositories.
- Supporting document management, retention, version control and technology documentation governance.
- Monitoring vulnerability reports and coordinating remediation activities with system owners.
- Tracking security risks, remediation actions and compliance outcomes.




- Preparing regular compliance, governance and security status reports.
- Supporting vendor assessments, technology risk reviews and governance forums.

Successful candidate will possess:

- A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Business Information Systems or a related field
- Experience with IT audit, technology governance or security technologies
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- An understanding of Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint.
- A foundational understanding of cyber security concepts, risk management and compliance.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and maintaining structured documentation.
