What you'll do

- Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive leadership to develop and refine operational plans that support the company's strategic priorities.
- Lead the implementation of high-priority initiatives, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively across various departments.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable tasks, timelines, and measurable objectives, providing clear guidance to teams involved in execution.
- Monitor progress on key initiatives, using data and metrics to assess performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and present regular reports to the CEO and leadership team, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Act as a central point of contact for communication among senior leaders, fostering transparency and alignment across the organization.
- Develop and maintain operational processes that improve planning, communication, and accountability within the organization.
- Support financing activities, including fundraising efforts, by coordinating efforts across teams and ensuring milestones are met to facilitate investor relations and strategic partnerships.




- Assist in licensing negotiations and business development activities by providing strategic insights and coordinating cross-functional efforts to achieve licensing and partnership goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, offering strategic guidance and analytical insights to inform decision-making.
- Anticipate organizational needs and proactively address potential challenges, balancing strategic vision with hands‑on operational management.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment on key initiatives and organizational priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational practices, leveraging best practices and lessons learned to optimize performance.

Requirements

- A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or advanced business degree is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 7 to 12 years of experience in strategy, business operations, corporate development, or related fields, with a focus on biotech or life sciences sectors.
- Proven track record of translating strategic plans into operational actions and leading complex initiatives from inception through successful completion.
- Experience working closely with senior executives, including the CEO, and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in planning, budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic decision‑making processes.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with a hands‑on approach and a focus on results.

Practical notes

The salary range for this position is between $217,000 and $275,000. The final compensation package will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and fit for the role.
