Mobile Point Clayton is a long-established telecommunications retail and service business located in Clayton, Melbourne.
We provide mobile plans, prepaid SIM cards, NBN and internet solutions, phone and tablet accessories, mobile phone repairs and technical support to local families, small businesses and international students.
We are seeking a full-time Digital Content Specialist to strengthen our online presence and communicate our products and services through engaging, accurate and useful digital content.
This is a hands-on content production role. You will be responsible for creating, editing, publishing and managing written, photographic, graphic and video content across our website, social media and other digital platforms.
Key responsibilities
Plan and maintain digital content calendars for products, services, promotions and customer education.
Create written content, photographs, graphics and short-form videos for websites and social media.
Produce product demonstrations, service explainers, mobile technology tips and customer education content.
Develop content covering mobile plans, prepaid SIM cards, NBN services, phone accessories, repairs and technical support.
Photograph and film products, services and approved in-store activities.
Write and edit website pages, social media posts, campaign copy and membership communications.
Schedule and publish approved content across relevant digital platforms.
Maintain and update website content to ensure information remains accurate and current.
Adapt content for different audiences and platforms while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
Verify prices, plan details, product specifications and promotional information before publication.
Coordinate with management, store staff, telecommunications providers and suppliers to obtain accurate information.
Maintain an organised library of photographs, videos,
graphics and other digital assets.
Monitor website and social media performance, including reach, engagement, traffic and enquiries.
Use performance data and customer feedback to improve future content.
Follow applicable privacy, copyright, brand and advertising requirements.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will have:
A relevant bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, media, digital media or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
At least two years of relevant experience in digital content creation, social media content or digital communications.
A portfolio demonstrating written, photographic, graphic and video content.
Strong English copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
Experience creating content for business websites and social media accounts.
Experience using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, CapCut or equivalent software.
Practical photography and video production skills.
Experience using content management systems and social media scheduling tools.
The ability to interpret website and social media performance data.
Strong attention to detail, organisation and time-management skills.
An interest in telecommunications, mobile technology and consumer electronics.
Experience creating content for a retail, telecommunications, technology or customer service business will be highly regarded. The ability to create or adapt Chinese-language content would be advantageous but is not essential.
What we offer
Full-time, ongoing employment at 38 hours per week.
Salary of $75,000 - $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.
