PRIMARY ROLE

The role is part of the Balmain IT Operations Team reporting directly to the IT Operations Manager. The role is for a mid-level Modern Workplace Engineer specialising deploying and supporting applications and solutions to optimize the workplace environment. The role will maintain these solutions while providing comprehensive technical support to the end user, to ensure a smooth, efficient, and secure user experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Configuration and Customization: Configure and customize Microsoft 365 applications and services to meet the organization's collaboration, communication, and productivity requirements.

- Identity and Access Management: Manage identity and access controls using Azure Active Directory, including user provisioning, authentication methods, conditional access policies, and single sign-on (SSO) configurations.

- Endpoint Management: Implement and manage endpoint security and management solutions using Microsoft Intune, including device enrolment, configuration profiles, application management, and compliance policies.

- Collaboration and Communication: Drive adoption and utilization of collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Yammer. Provide training and support to end-users to maximize productivity and efficiency.

- Security and Compliance: Implement security controls and compliance measures to protect data and resources within the modern workplace setting. Monitor security events, conduct risk assessments,



and implement mitigation strategies based on the guidance provided by senior team members or your manager.

- Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor performance and usage metrics of Microsoft 365 services and infrastructure components. Identify areas for optimization and efficiency improvements and provide recommendation for necessary changes.

- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain documentation of configurations, policies, procedures, and best practices related to the modern workplace environment. Share knowledge and expertise with team members and stakeholders.

COMPETENCY / JOB SKILL ATTRIBUTES / REQUIREMENTS

Skills:

- Understanding of Microsoft 365 services and administration.

- Experience with Endpoint Management solutions, preferably Microsoft Intune.

- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.

- Experience with cloud security principles and technologies.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

- Working knowledge of cloud backup services such as Druva

- Working knowledge of email security SaaS products such as Abnormal.

- Working knowledge of EDR such as CrowdStrike Falcon Control.

- Working knowledge of Cloudflare and its products.

Competencies:

- Ability to multi-task

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate are preferred.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.

- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices within Financial Industry is a plus.
