Ocius Technology is an Australian company dedicated to developing and deploying cutting edge Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs). Our vessel's harness Wind, Solar and Wave power to remain at sea collecting vital data for Defence and Civilian applications.

We are under contracts with RAN, RNZN and USA and are responding in an agile way to an ambitious program of building and deploying multiple USVs for operations around Australia and beyond.

The role

Ground Control Operators (GCOs) are the key to Ocius. The GCO team operate our fleet of Bluebottle USVs whilst on mission, ensuring safe and efficient navigation and high-quality payload data collection.

The Operations function is responsible for all on water piloting, routing, maintenance and launching and recovering of all Ocius assets.

A typical shift as a GCO could include:

- Ensuring safe navigation to and from, and whilst within the operating area




- Operating the Bluebottle's Sensor payload and reporting on all events
- Providing constant mission feedback to Operations and Engineering

Selection Criteria

- Strong computer literacy with the ability to rapidly learn and operate multiple digital systems simultaneously to monitor, control, and execute mission objectives.
- Experience making decisions based on operational data, information or intelligence
- Mariner experience gained through professional or solid personal experience
- Proven experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a professional setting
- Ongoing availability to work on a 24x7 roster

Due to the nature of our business, we require Australian Citizenship for all roles and the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance.
