About the role

Shieldai is seeking a technical expert to build real-time perception systems for autonomous platforms. You will develop custom algorithms and integrate them into high-performance C++ pipelines to support our defense-focused mission.

What you'll do

- Architect and implement custom computer vision algorithms for edge computing environments.
- Integrate perception capabilities into high-performance C++ software pipelines.
- Manage the full lifecycle of technical projects from initial design through to deployment.
- Work alongside robotics, AI, and optical engineering teams to deliver reliable spatial awareness solutions.
- Develop geometry-based pipelines for tasks including camera modeling, image-to-world projection, and multi-sensor alignment.

Requirements

- Degree in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Expert-level C++ proficiency with a history of building high-performance, real-time systems.
- Proven ability to write custom vision algorithms from the ground up without relying solely on third-party libraries.
- Robust grasp of computer vision, image processing, and machine learning fundamentals.




- Mastery of software engineering basics including data structures, algorithm optimization, and version control.
- Experience owning technical projects from ambiguous requirements to final delivery.

Nice to have

- Master or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, Geomatics, or Photogrammetry.
- Experience with camera calibration, multi-view geometry, 3D reconstruction, SLAM, or target localization.
- Background in photogrammetry, epipolar geometry, bundle adjustment, or map-based registration.
- Familiarity with OpenCV or deep learning frameworks for classification and sequence modeling.
- Previous work in the defense industry, autonomous unmanned systems, or automated video surveillance.
