DiOrsa Farms is a vertically integrated horticulture business producing premium stone fruit, pome fruit and citrus in the Cobram region of Victoria. The business farms approximately 500 hectares of orchards with fruit packing, storage and dispatch facility in Cobram allowing supply of high-quality fruit to both domestic and international markets. The business now needs a Site Operations Manager to oversee the daily site operations in Cobram.

Meaningful Leadership: Play a key role in ensuring packed fruit is stacked, handled, and dispatched safely and accurately.

Supportive Team: Work closely with Production, Packing, Marketing, Logistics, and Transport partners.

Hands-On & Varied Role: No two days are the same in this operational leadership position.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the General Manager, you will take ownership of daily site operations, balancing labour, production, and customer demand. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure operational excellence, safety compliance, and consistent product quality.

Lead day-to-day packhouse operations including receival, grading, packing, and dispatch

Monitor and improve production output, efficiency, and equipment uptime





Actively manage daily and weekly schedules to meet customer orders

Lead, coach, and develop frontline teams

Ensure appropriate labour planning aligned to production needs

Build a high-performing, accountable site culture

Drive process improvements across packing, throughput, and waste reduction

Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks

Implement practical, on-the-floor improvements

Champion a strong safety-first culture

Ensure adherence to food safety, quality, and compliance standards

Maintain visible leadership presence, particularly during peak periods

What you’ll bring

Proven experience in a fresh produce packing or food manufacturing operation environment

Strong operational leadership with a hands-on approach

Experience in managing seasonal workforces

Ability to manage competing priorities in a quick-paced setting

Sound understanding of production planning and workforce optimisation

Passion for continuous improvement and team development

Willingness and ability to work long and irregular hours during peak season
