About the Client

Our client is a speciailist construction and engineering company, delivering construction solutions for major infrastructure projects in road, rail, development, aviation and mining across Queensland and New South Wales.

What You Will Be Doing

Working on various subdivision and earthworks projects, our client is seeking skilled Civil Leading Hands for long-term projects across the Sunshine Coast. Successful candidates will be required to work Monday to Friday, 9-10-hour shifts, commencing at 6:30am. You will be responsible for overseeing a crew of 4-6 contractors and completing the following duties;

- Direct and supervise the day-to-day work operations and direct crews
- Ensure high standards for quality and safety maintained
- Coordinating construction work
- Allocating general and daily responsibilities
- Ensure professional standards and company objectives are maintained in relation to company reputations, service quality, OH&S; and environmental standards.
- Operate machines when required if ticketed

What You Will Need

- Drivers License and own Transport
- White Card
- Prior experience within the civil construction industry,



ideally working across subdivision projects or similar (Urban construction)
- Good understanding and experience with curb, channel, drainage and road experience (highly desirable)
- The ability to read and interpret plans
- Strong safety knowledge and initiative
- Good leadership skills positive leader and team player
- Be reliable and trustworthy with the ability to work with little supervision and be able to work as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills

Pay and Benefits

- $49/hour + penalties + $25/daily travel
