About the role

We are seeking a Property Lawyer or Experienced Conveyancer to join our team on a full-time basis in Warrnambool, Victoria. Part time considered for the ideal candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise to a dynamic legal practice whilst being part of a supportive and collaborative team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering comprehensive property law services to our diverse client base, managing transactions from inception through to completion, and providing strategic advice on property-related matters.

Key responsibilities

- Managing all aspects of residential and commercial property transactions, including conveyancing, settlements, and contract reviews
- Conducting property title searches, due diligence investigations, and providing risk assessments to clients
- Drafting and reviewing property-related legal documents, contracts, and agreements
- Liaising with clients, real estate agents, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions
- Providing expert legal advice on property law matters, including contractual terms, conditions, and potential risks




- Managing client files and maintaining accurate records in compliance with legal and professional standards
- Meeting deadlines and managing multiple transactions efficiently whilst maintaining high-quality standards

What we're looking for

- Qualification as a lawyer with admission to practice in Victoria, or extensive experience as a qualified conveyancer with a recognised conveyancing qualification
- Experience in property law and conveyancing transactions, ideally including both residential and commercial work
- Strong knowledge of property law legislation, relevant regulations, and current industry practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and transaction management
- Proficiency in legal practice management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Professional judgment and the ability to identify legal risks and provide pragmatic solutions
- Strong organisational skills and capacity to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
- A commitment to professional development and staying current with changes in property law
