Their distribution network caters to retail, hunting, sports shooting, and defence sectors, ensuring reliable and top-tier equipment for professionals and enthusiasts alike.

About the Role

The Trade compliance officer will be responsible for;

- Implementing and managing compliance plans for the import, export, and resale of items such as; ammunition, firearms, and their related components, while ensuring compliance with ITAR, as well as U.S. and global export control regulations.
- Providing expertise and guidance on trade compliance matters.
- Contribute to the compliance manual, by developing, implementing,



maintaining and improving import and export control compliance policies and procedures.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of a mandatory training program covering various topics, including Australian export controls, Defence and Strategic Goods List (DSGL) and Defence Export Controls (DEC)
- Providing oversight and approval of DEC application submissions
- Conduct internal compliance audits
- Manage the WAL Australian Trusted Trader program compliance activities

About You

The successful incumbent will have;

- Experience in trade compliance, international trade controls or international contracts management, either from defence or dangerous goods import/export.
- Robust understanding of the U.S. and global export regulations.
