We are seeking an experienced HC Driver to join our team at Dandenong. This is a casual position offering 2 to 5 nights/week, depending on your availability/needs. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods to regional sites, ensuring timely and secure delivery to our customers.
Key responsibilities
Operating a Heavy Combination (HC) vehicle safely and professionally on regional routes during night shift hours
Conducting pre and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintaining an accurate electronic logbook in accordance with regulatory requirements
Transporting goods safely and securely to designated locations within agreed timeframes
Following all traffic laws, fatigue management regulations and company safety policies
Communicating effectively with management and customers regarding delivery status and any issues
Maintaining a professional demeanour and representing Cooltrans positively with customers
Reporting vehicle defects and any incidents immediately to management
Assisting with basic vehicle maintenance checks and ensuring cleanliness of the vehicle
What we're looking for
Valid Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence with current medical certification
Proven experience driving HC vehicles on regional routes
Comprehensive knowledge of fatigue management laws and secure driving practices
Strong safety record and demonstrated commitment to workplace safety standards
Ability to work independently during night shift operations whilst remaining alert and focused
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Strong communication and customer service abilities
Flexibility to adapt to varying workload demands on a casual basis
Reliability and professional attitude with a proven track record of punctuality
