Role

We are seeking an energetic and reliable Ground worker/Driver, for a full-time on-going position. No experience is required, we are willing to train the right candidate. You will be working with a close-knit team on different tree maintenance and removal jobs.

We mainly do private work which includes an excellent variety of tasks to keep you interested and always learning.

Our ideal candidate will be looking for a long-term position.

You will need to have the ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment in various weather conditions. You will need to be able to perform physically demanding work and communicate well with the team. Our workplace is drug and smoke-free.

Essential skills/Qualifications

- Punctual and reliable
- Be able to physically meet the demands of working outdoors
- Experience with chainsaw operation
- Strong work ethic and willing to improve skills set
- Friendly manner and valuable team player with excellent communication skills
- Current MR/HR class drivers’ license and able to back a trailer would be an advantage
- White card would be an advantage
- Working with children’s card or able to obtain one
- Work safely with job hazards including equipment and vehicle operation, drop zone awareness, loud noise,



woodchipper dust, gasoline and diesel exhaust, chemicals including fuel, oil, and pesticides, electrical hazards, etc.

Responsibilities

- Assisting aerial workers and other ground crew members in all aspects of tree care and removal
- Keeping the job site safe & organised, eg. drag & chip brush, rake & clean the site
- Being a team player and able to work with and without direct supervision
- Driving trucks with trailers, including daily safety inspection before and after operations
- Operating and maintaining equipment, including chainsaws, chipper, stump grinder, leaf blower, etc.
- Working safely and complying with company policies and regulations for tree care operations, including wearing all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as provided by company.
- Keeping company vehicles in good order and tidy
- Willingness to pursue additional training and certification as needed

Work Schedule

Regular work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm. Overtime is required when working in the Bass Coast area and may be requested other times, eg. to comply with natural emergencies

You must have your own reliable transportation to and from work.
