Job Description

Salary $85,000 – $95,000 per year

About the role

- Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions to address students' academic, personal, and cultural challenges
- Develop and deliver tailored support programs to help students achieve their educational goals
- Collaborate with faculty and administrative staff to monitor student progress and identify early intervention opportunities
- Organise and facilitate workshops and information sessions on topics such as study skills, time management, and mental health
- Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding students through the complexities of adjusting to life and study in Australia
- Maintain detailed records and provide regular reporting on student progress and engagement
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of student support services and policies

What we're looking for

- Degree qualification in counselling, psychology, or a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience working in a student services or higher education environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise and build rapport with diverse student populations




- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the capacity to provide tailored guidance and support
- Thorough understanding of the challenges faced by international students and a demonstrated commitment to their academic and personal success
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in student counselling and support
- Proficient in using student information systems and data analysis tools
- Multilingual (Arabic is a bonus)
