About the role

The Building and Facilities Officer plays a key role in supporting the management, maintenance and improvement of Council's diverse building and facilities portfolio, helping to ensure community assets remain safe, functional, compliant and fit for purpose.

Working as part of a collaborative and experienced team, this position supports the planning, coordination and delivery of building maintenance,



renewal and capital projects across a wide range of Council-owned and managed facilities. The role contributes to asset inspections and condition assessments, procurement activities, contractor and stakeholder coordination, project delivery and the ongoing improvement of Council's building assets.

This role works closely with internal teams, contractors, consultants, community groups and facility users to deliver practical, customer-focused outcomes while supporting Council's long-term asset management objectives.

The position offers the opportunity to contribute across the full lifecycle of Council's building assets, from day-to-day operational support through to the delivery of renewal and improvement projects. It is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working across a diverse portfolio, has strong organisational and communication skills, and is passionate about delivering quality infrastructure and services for the community.

Other important information

This position is located at Council's Rushforth Road Works Depot however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
