We're looking for a Salon Assistant to join our Sydney team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves the hair industry, enjoys working with people, and wants to be part of a team that genuinely supports each other. Whether you're just starting your career or already have some salon experience, we'd love to hear from you.

At The Straightening Salon, we believe the little things matter. A warm welcome, a clean and organised salon, helping a teammate when they're busy, and making every client feel looked after. As a Salon Assistant, you'll play a big part in creating that experience.

What you’ll be doing

This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be an important part of keeping the salon running smoothly while supporting both our clients and team.

Your day may include:

- Creating a warm and welcoming experience for every client from the moment they arrive
- Managing bookings, client enquiries, confirmations, and supporting the daily salon diary
- Assisting the Salon Manager and Operations Manager with administrative and operational tasks
- Supporting our stylists throughout the day to help appointments run smoothly
- Providing hair services within your scope and assisting with client appointments as required




- Helping maintain a clean, organised, and beautifully presented salon environment
- Assisting with stock management, retail presentation, and salon preparation
- Learning and following our salon systems, service standards, and client journey
- Working collaboratively with the team to ensure every client receives an exceptional experience
- Stepping in to support the wider team where needed, including assisting with team coverage during busy periods or leave

- Can work 8:30am starts, two late night's each week, and three Saturdays each month
