About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Casual Yard & Stores Person to support equipment and asset readiness for our Victorian-based operations. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this position plays a key role in ensuring equipment, PPE and project materials are prepared, mobilised and delivered safely and efficiently.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, managing deliveries, supporting warehouse and stores teams, and overseeing the mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment to and from offshore platforms. This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisational skills,
attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
This opportunity is offered on a casual basis and would suit someone who enjoys a varied role, working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced project environment.
Duties will include but are not limited to
- Managing purchasing requirements and raising purchase orders as required
- Coordinating deliveries, freight bookings and supplier interactions
- Preparing equipment and consumables for mobilisation to offshore platforms
- Managing mobilisation and demobilisation of project equipment and materials
- Receiving, inspecting and recording incoming deliveries
- Maintaining accurate inventory and stock records
- Picking, packing, loading and unloading project equipment and consumables
- Operating forklifts and other yard equipment safely and efficiently
- Supporting warehouse, stores and yard operations as required
- Maintaining housekeeping standards and ensuring a clean, safe work environment
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and project teams to meet operational requirements
- Ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with HSEQ requirements and company procedures
Requirements & Experience Needed
- Forklift Licence (essential)
- Construction White Card (essential)
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence – Manual (essential)
- Previous experience working in a warehouse, stores or yard environment
- Experience booking freight and coordinating deliveries (advantageous)
- Experience raising Purchase Orders and managing purchasing activities (advantageous)
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong reading, writing and computer literacy skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- General housekeeping and yard maintenance experience
- Full Australian working rights
