About the Role

Own the end-to-end product strategy, performance, and growth of the flexible packaging portfolio for the meat, pet food, beverage, wine, and general food segments. Own product roadmaps, current product development, inventory optimization, supplier partnerships, and sales enablement. You’ll blend technical credibility, commercial acumen, and a sustainability mindset to deliver profitable, compliant, and customer-loved solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

- Develop and execute segment-specific product roadmaps (meat, pet food, beverage, wine, general food) across films, laminates, barrier structures, pouches, lidding, shrink, and specialty formats.
- Define positioning, pricing, and profitability targets; own stock keeping unit lifecycle management (introduction, optimization, rationalization).
- Lead new product development from concept to launch including but not limited to business case, specification, trials, approvals, and commercialisation.
- Provide pre- and post-sales technical support: specifications, line assessments,



shelf-life performance, packaging trials, troubleshooting.
- Create segment-focused sales tools (data sheets, ROI calculators, case studies, claims substantiation).
- Negotiate commercial terms (pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, quality agreements, rebates) and drive cost-out programs.
- Map white spaces and build segment playbooks for sales enablement.

Qualification, Experience and Skills Required

- 6+ years in product management or technical/commercial roles within flexible packaging or FMCG.
- Practical understanding of film structures (PE, PP, PET, PA), barrier technologies (EVOH, metallization), laminations, inks/adhesives, pouch formats, and converting processes (extrusion, lamination, printing, slitting, pouch making).
- Experience with food contact compliance, shelf-life, machinability on FFS/flow-wrap/VFFS/HFFS, and sustainability frameworks in ANZ.
- Strong commercial acumen, data analysis skills, stakeholder management, and project leadership.
- Manage and negotiate with suppliers effectively, taking a pragmatic and outcome-focused approach.
- Strong strategic and analytical capability, including market sizing, segmentation, pricing, and margin management.
