About the role

We are seeking experienced Female Disability Support Workers to support a participant in the Mornington, VIC area. This is a casual position that offers the flexibility to manage your own schedule whilst making a meaningful impact in the community. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and maintain their independence. This role is fundamental to our mission of delivering high‑quality disability support services across the region.

This opportunity offers ongoing long-hour shifts for the right candidate.

The participant requires complex physical support and assistance with all aspects of daily living. This role is ideal for experienced support workers who are confident with high physical support, manual handling, hoist transfers, and delivering compassionate, person-centred care while maintaining professional boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

Provide person-centred support to a participant with complex physical support needs.

Assist with personal care and activities of daily living.





Perform protected transfers using ceiling hoists and other manual handling equipment.

Support the participant to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Complete accurate progress notes, documentation, and incident reports.

Follow individual support plans, risk assessments, and organisational policies.

Work collaboratively with the participant, family, and multidisciplinary team.

Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent.

Previous experience supporting participants with mental health conditions (highly desirable).

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Current Working with Children Check (if applicable).

Current National Police Check.

Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.

Full Australian Driver's Licence and a reliable, insured vehicle.

Excellent communication skills with a compassionate and person-centred approach.

Highly Regarded

Experience supporting participants with high physical support needs.

Experience with manual handling, pressure care, and complex personal care.

Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP).

Previous experience in community, home care, SIL, or SDA settings.

Availability for morning, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts.
