Our Client

Our client is a leading investor, developer and operator of essential energy infrastructure assets across Australia. With an active growth agenda, the business continues to pursue acquisitions, partnerships and new investment opportunities, creating a unique opportunity to work on complex, high-profile transactions within a critical sector of the economy.

The Opportunity

Reporting to senior members of the Corporate Development team, you will play a key role in the evaluation and execution of M&A; and strategic growth initiatives. This is a genuine transaction-focused position offering exposure to the full deal lifecycle, from opportunity assessment and financial analysis through to due diligence, transaction execution and investment approval.

Key responsibilities include:

- Building and maintaining detailed financial models and valuation analyses
- Supporting the assessment of acquisition, investment and partnership opportunities
- Coordinating due diligence processes with internal stakeholders and external advisers
- Preparing Investment Committee, Executive and Board papers
- Conducting commercial and strategic analysis to support investment decisions
- Assisting with transaction execution and post-acquisition integration activities

About You





You will likely have 3-5 years of experience gained within corporate development, investment banking, infrastructure investing, private equity or transaction advisory.

You will bring:

- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
- Experience supporting M&A;, investment or strategic transactions
- Excellent commercial acumen and analytical capability
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

A degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce or a related discipline is required. CA, CFA or equivalent qualifications will be viewed favourably. Prior exposure to the energy, utilities or infrastructure sectors is advantageous but not essential.
