Huff Group is seeking an experienced Data Technician with Molex structured cabling experience to join our team on the construction of the new Caloundra South West Primary School.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale education project from the ground up, installing high-quality communications infrastructure as part of a qualified and experienced team.

About the Role

As a Data Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, testing and commissioning of structured cabling systems throughout the project.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Installation of Cat6A and structured cabling systems
- Molex structured cabling installation in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Installing communications cabinets, racks and patch panels
- Reading and interpreting communications drawings and specifications
- Testing, labelling and documenting completed installationsMaintaining high standards of workmanship and safety
- Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor and electrical team to meet project milestones

About You

To be successful, you will have:





- Demonstrated experience as a Commercial Data Technician
- Experience installing Molex structured cabling systems
- Experience with DOE Specification - Highly regarded
- Current Open Cabler Registration
- Experience with Fluke testing equipment and certification
- Current White Card
- Current driver's licence
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Molex accreditation or previous experience working on Molex-certified installations will be highly regarded.
