About the role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Officer to deliver routine building and grounds maintenance across classroom, sports facilities, admin areas and outdoor spaces. You'll help ensure our campus is safe, compliant and presentable for students, staff and visitors.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm or 8:00am to 4:00pm

Key responsibilities:

- Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance to buildings, classroom, playgrounds, courts, and car parks
- Operate an electronic maintenance management system (CMMS) to log, prioritise, and close work orders
- Conduct safety checks (trip hazards, doors/locks, lighting, fencing, signage) and action rectifications
- Support minor projects: painting, patching, flooring/tiling, basic carpentry, light plumping/electrical (within licence)
- Maintain grounds: pathways, drainage, stormwater pits, courts/ovals, and garden structures
- Assist with event set-ups, deliveries, and after-hours call-outs as required
- Keep accurate records, permits, and compliance documentation

About you

- Proven experience is general maintenance/handyperson or a relevant trade qualification
- Competent with CMMS/ electronic job systems and basic IT (email, photos, documentation)
- Sound knowledge of building maintenance standards and safe work practices
- Practical skills across carpentry/repairs, basic plumping/ electronic (within licence), painting, and grounds
- Strong customer service focus with clear communication,
