About the role
The Accounts Officer is responsible for processing a range of financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and providing operational support to the Manager, Finance & Accounting. The role will work across both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, while also assisting with the preparation of monthly financial and management reports, bank and account reconciliations, and general journal entries. The position plays an important role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the College's financial operations.

Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be an experienced finance professional with strong attention to detail, sound analytical skills, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and procedures.
They will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with colleagues across the Finance & Administration team and the broader College community. A commitment to accuracy, customer service, and continuous improvement is essential.
Employment Type and Salary Range
This is a part-time (0.6 FTE), ongoing role. Band Level 2.3 FTE $83,390 plus 12% superannuation and 17.5% leave loading.
