About the role

This is a ground-up role. You'll start hands-on, rotating through our stations (specialty coffee, sandwich hand), learning how each one runs and why. As you build competency, you'll move from station work into running full shifts yourself: overseeing all customer experiences,



managing and deploying staff, and nailing clean, tidy and on-time opens and closes.

What we can't train, but we're on the lookout for: natural, warm, hospitable service, composure under pressure, an ability to adapt and learn current processes and skills quickly, ambition and positive energy.

A Team Leader at Mile End Bagels:

- Runs the cafe through a full shift, open to close
- Holds food and coffee quality to Mile End standards for every customer, every time
- Reads trade and adjusts the team in real time wherever necessary
- Coaches and upskills the team on the floor, every shift
- Keeps the Mile End standard and customer experience consistent as we grow
