Finish Your Electrical Apprenticeship Strong
3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Electrician | Central Coast NSW | Full-time
The Opportunity
Already part-way through your electrical apprenticeship and ready to build confidence on larger, more technical sites?
CCGT is looking for a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Electrician to join a large-scale, professional Host Employer working across the Central Coast.
You’ll continue developing your electrical skills in a structured workplace that maintains critical infrastructure across a variety of sites. This is a strong prospect to gain more hands‑on experience in commercial‑scale facilities, live work environments and safety‑focused electrical work.
You will be employed by Central Coast Group Training (CCGT) and placed with the Host Employer for your day‑to‑day work. CCGT will support you throughout the rest of your apprenticeship while you continue your nationally recognised Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician through TAFE NSW Wyong.
This is a full‑time role, generally working 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
You already have electrical training behind you. This role is about building on that experience and continuing to develop your confidence in a professional, safety‑first workplace.
You’ll continue learning how to:
- Support electrical maintenance across large facilities and sites
- Assist with installation and repair tasks under supervision
- Participate in inspections, upgrades and preventative works
- Troubleshoot electrical systems in live environments
- Apply WHS practices and electrical safety procedures
- Work across commercial‑scale infrastructure
- Follow site procedures, safety requirements and compliance standards
- Continue your off‑the‑job training through TAFE NSW Wyong
As your skills grow, you’ll continue taking on more responsibility and sharpening your technical knowledge.
Why This Is a Good Place to Start
You’ll be learning in a structured electrical environment with:
- Exposure to commercial‑scale facilities and critical infrastructure
- Experienced electricians who can help you keep developing
- A strong focus on safety, compliance and technical standards
- Real experience with maintenance, inspections, upgrades and preventative works
- Professional site systems and workplace procedures
- Supportive supervision and regular CCGT check‑ins
- A clear pathway to keep building your electrical career
You’ll also receive paid full‑time employment, on‑the‑job training and ongoing support from CCGT throughout your apprenticeship.
After your apprenticeship, career pathways may include Qualified Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, Service Technician, Electrical Leading Hand, Site Supervisor or Electrical Contractor.
What We’re Looking For
This role could suit you if you:
- Are currently completing a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
- Have completed at least 2 years of electrical apprenticeship training
- Are ready to keep developing your electrical skills
- Turn up on time and are ready to learn
- Listen carefully and follow instructions, asking questions when you are unsure
- Work safely and follow electrical safety procedures
- Have a professional attitude and communicate well
- Can work across structured, compliance‑focused sites
- Have a driver’s licence, P‑Plates or above
- Have a White Card
- Have a Working with Children Check, or are willing to obtain one
- Have a Police Check, or are willing to obtain one
