Overview
/n
Maitland Hospital is seeking motivated and enthusiastic unaccredited trainees to join our General Surgery team. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical and procedural skills in a supportive, team‐oriented environment while gaining exposure to a broad range of surgical presentations.

Responsibilities
/n
/n
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary surgical team
/n
- Develop core knowledge and procedural skills in General Surgery
/n
- Participate in ward rounds, operating theatre, and outpatient care
/n
- Engage in teaching, education and quality improvement activities
/n
- Work under the supervision of experienced consultants and senior clinicians
/n/n

Selection Criteria
/n
/n
- Experience and qualifications commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.
/n
- Demonstrated ability to work at an appropriate level of independence within a supervised complex clinical setting utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise.
/n
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a multidisciplinary team with a demonstrated ability to provide leadership, supervision and support to junior medical officers and medical students.
/n
- High level communication skills, both written and verbal with demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively and respectfully with patient, carers and colleagues.
/n
- Demonstrated skills in time management, prioritisation and problem solving within a complex environment.
/n
- Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
/n
- Evidence of continuing professional development and self‐education and commitment to participating in training opportunities to further develop skill and knowledge in the area of general surgery.
