About the role

Shining Bright Abilities' is seeking an enthusiastic and caring Support Worker to join our team in Kurri Kurri, NSW on a casual basis. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients by providing compassionate, person-centred care and support tailored to their individual needs.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Accompanying clients to appointments, social outings, and community events
- Providing emotional support and companionship to help our clients maintain their independence and quality of life
- Delivering services in a way that promotes the client's rights, dignity, and wellbeing
- Collaborating with the client, their families, and the broader care team to ensure a cohesive and effective support plan
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements

What we're looking for

- A genuine passion for working with people and a commitment to making a positive difference in their lives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Prior experience in a similar support worker or care-related role, preferably in the aged care or disability support sector is preferred but not essential
- A current First Aid certificate and a valid driver's licence




- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Robust problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach is a MUST.
- Happy to accommodate broken shifts
