Job Description

We are partnering with a leading Australian infrastructure services business to recruit an experienced Senior Legal Counsel for a hands‐on role supporting high‐value projects.

You will work closely with a talented legal and commercial team to drive front‐end contracting, tender processes, and successful project delivery across energy & utilities, transport, and social infrastructure.

/n

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n

- Project manage tender processes for major infrastructure projects across APAC, including structuring transactions, risk reviews, and contract negotiations.

/n

- Review and advise on complex construction contracts at tender stage (D&C;, GC21, ECI, alliances, and related project agreements).

/n

- Provide strategic commercial and legal advice to tender and delivery teams on risk allocation, delays/EOTs, termination, security, retention, scope changes, and pricing mechanisms.

/n

- Lead post‐tender negotiations with clients, joint venture partners, and subcontractors.

/n

- Deliver clear, pragmatic legal and commercial advice to stakeholders in construction, project delivery, and corporate teams.

/n





- Support the M&A; team on acquisitions and divestments as required.

/n

- Manage external legal counsel efficiently and identify/mitigate legal risks throughout project development and execution.

/n

- Contribute to regulatory compliance, including environmental and planning matters, while proactively minimising disputes.

About You

/n

/n

- 7+ years post‐qualification experience as a lawyer, with strong expertise in projects and construction law.

/n

- Proven technical skills in drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex infrastructure and construction contracts.

/n

- Strong commercial mindset, solutions‐focused approach, and ability to manage multi‐party, high‐stakes transactions.

/n/n
