An exciting chance has arisen for a passionate and dedicatedChef to join our high-quality service in Ferntree Gully.

This position would appeal to an applicant who is looking to further their existing cooking skills whilst also beingpassionate about providing nutritionally balanced meals for children from 0-6 years of age.

You will be responsible for the purchase, preparation, and provision of nutritious meals for all children at our centre, whilst meeting the requirements of the Food Safety Act.

You will also be responsible for menu planning in line with current recommended daily dietary requirements for children. You will be responsible for preparing cooking classes to provide opportunities for the children to learn about sustainability and growing fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

To be successful, you will hold or be willing to hold a Level 2 Food Handler's Certificate with a sound knowledge of the Food Safety Act, as well as a current Working with Children Check.

An applicant with a qualification in early childhood or commercial cookery would be preferred.

Well developed communication and organisation skills and the ability to work as part of a team are key requirements of this position.

This position will be part time 30 hours per weeknegotiable for the right person working only Monday to Friday only and closed on Public Holidays.
