What you'll do
- Oversee the daily operations of the wellness center, ensuring that all services are delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Coordinate wellness programs and initiatives that promote physical and mental health within the community.
- Manage a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to enhance their skills and performance.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and concerns while ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Develop and implement health education workshops and seminars aimed at increasing community awareness of wellness topics.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs, making adjustments as necessary to meet the needs of the community.
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers and organizations to create partnerships that enhance service delivery and resource sharing.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions,
program participation, and other relevant data to support reporting and compliance efforts.
- Ensure that the wellness center adheres to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and clients.
- Assist in budgeting and financial management for the wellness center, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet program goals.
- Participate in community outreach efforts to promote the wellness center and its services, engaging with local residents and stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in wellness and healthcare, integrating new knowledge into center operations.
Requirements
- Valid paramedic certification and a minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency medical services or a related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership or management role, preferably within a healthcare or wellness setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building relationships with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of health and wellness principles, as well as experience in program development and evaluation.
- Proficiency in using healthcare management software and electronic health records systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet the needs of the community.
Nice to have
- Experience in community health outreach or public health initiatives.
- Familiarity with grant writing and fundraising efforts to support wellness programs.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in English and Bahamian Creole, to better serve the diverse community.
