Your Role

An exciting opportunity exists to join the team at Shalom College, Bundaberg, in the position of Library Manager. This is a full-time continuing role for 38 hours per week to commence as soon as possible or as negotiated with the successful applicant.

About you

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals who are passionate about education and working with students.

The successful applicant will have:

- understanding of and a commitment to the values of a Catholic school
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- experience in library services, information management, collection development and resource provision
- knowledge of contemporary library practices, information literacy frameworks and digital learning resources
- organisational, administrative and budget management skills




- the ability to work well either individually or collaboratively in a team and to accept direction and support
- adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic educational setting
- a commitment to supporting student learning outcomes
- Tertiary qualifications at either a Bachelor or Associate Diploma/Diploma level or equivalent knowledge, qualifications and experience relevant to the position would be advantageous. Membership with Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) would be desirable.

Mandatory Requirements

- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a secure manner.
